Editorial policy
How location entries are reviewed.
Published entries need coordinates, real-world travel context, scene-match notes, and a visible confidence level.
Confidence levels
Official means a rights holder, local authority, or official tourism partner identifies the location.
Community verified means multiple public sources and traveler reports consistently identify the location.
Visual match means the location appears to match known scene composition and is published with a clear label so readers understand the current evidence level.
Image use
MiruMichi prioritizes real-world place photos, public map context, and written scene cues. Anime stills, screenshots, posters, and character images are not used as default page artwork. They should appear only when the source, credit, and usage rights are appropriate for publication.
Public image attributions are listed on the Image Credits page where possible. If a source changes, a correction is requested, or the rights status is unclear, the image should be replaced with a real-world location photo or removed.
Corrections
Readers can send route corrections, source links, image concerns, and better access notes through the contact page. Confidence labels may change as stronger public references become available.
