Using routes and the map
How to use MiruMichi routes, city pages, anime indexes, and the interactive map to build a day plan.
MiruMichi is structured as data first: every location has coordinates, station access, and confidence labels. Routes and the map are two ways to consume that same index.
If you already know the series, start from the anime page. If you know where you will be in Japan, start from the city page or map.
- 01 Routes
Fifteen published itineraries chain stops with planned minutes at each site and travel notes between them. Use these as copy-paste day plans.
- 02 City pages
See every indexed stop in one prefecture hub, with summaries that help you pick a base hotel or station.
- 03 Anime pages
Filter by series when you are fan-traveling for one title and want the full location list and suggested routes.
- 04 Map
Pan and zoom to discover nearby stops you might combine into a custom loop — useful in Tokyo and Kamakura where density is high.
Building a custom loop
Pick three to six stops within walking distance or one rail line. Open each location page for walking minutes from station and etiquette notes before committing.
Cross-check confidence labels: mixing one Official landmark with several Visual match street corners is normal for a half-day; just calibrate expectations for each photo stop.
