Checklist
First-time anime pilgrimage checklist
A one-page checklist for your first anime location day in Japan — before leaving the hotel, on the train, and at each stop.
Use this list the night before a pilgrimage day and once more at your first station. It complements route pages with trip-wide habits that are easy to forget.
Before you leave
- Charge phone and power bank; save offline maps for the city.
- Screenshot your route stop order and last-train times.
- Load IC transit card or confirm day-pass coverage for the lines you need.
- Wear shoes you can walk in for 8–12 km — Tokyo and Kamakura days add up.
At each stop
- Read the location page visit notes and confidence label.
- Confirm you are on public ground; step aside if a path narrows.
- Take one wide reference photo before fine-tuning comparison angles.
- Note the next station and walking time before moving on — backtracking across Enoden or hillside Kyoto costs more time than map distance shows.
